3800 Series II swap question

What motor mount brackets would be used from the engine to the mounts?

When I did the 3.4 swap, I had to reuse the 2.8 brackets as teh 4th gen engine bay is wider than the 3rds.

Any ideas or know someone who has done this? I wnat to avoid having them fabbed if possible.

Thanks,

What I thought, jsut don't know of any good places in the Dayton/Cinci/Columbus area.

IF teh 3.4 doesn't work out, I still might be able to get the engine, tranny, harness & ecm for $300. (heavy sigh)

Wow. I was in Dayton over the weekend. What did the 3800 come out of? I am not sure where the mounting points are on those engines since they are primarily front drive. Did you think of using the 4th gen v6?

Most would assume that he was planning on using the 3800 Series II 4th gen V6 ?

And thats what I was referring to, im quite sure they use the same block, its the intake and accessories that are diff.

It's from a 95 Camaro w/the 3800 in it (very few f-bodies came w/that in 95). It even has a new price $200 I pick it up (In Chillicothe) **Same person who hooked me up w/the 3.4 in teh first place **

Yes, the fwd & rwd block are the same, the heads are different due to injector location, only diff. The intakes are obviously different.
With the savings of the combo, even less than what I bought the 3.4 for , I cain (hopefully) afford to get brackets made.

If anybody reading this has or can get those 3800 brackets from a salvage yard or parts box, drop me an e-mail or PM please, & thanks in advance

You arent going to be able to get off the shelf mounts like you asked for. They HAVE to be fabbed, and i dont think they make 3 sets of heads for it, i'd have to bet the rwd and NA fwd heads are the same, the fwd S/C are the only ones i know of with relocated injectors.

I ment that the fwd & rwd heads were different, not a total of three heads. my bad.

For the brackets, I'm looking to get examples of both so I can have examples of how the bracket to motor looks (from 3800), & bracket to motor mount looks (from 2.8), & have someone fab up a bastard conglomeration of the two.

I know you meant that, thats where im disagreeing, I KNOW there are 2 sets of heads for the FWD app, the NA and the Supercharged, im saying if im not mistaken the FWD and RWD cars use the same NA heads, just a different intake manifold.
