Fiero 3800 Series II Swap

Im getting ready to buy a Pontiac fiero Lamborghini Kit car . The car is 100% complete but I dont want the fiero engine . I was thinking about getting the 3800 series II . My question is Will the 3800 need new engine mounts , wiring harness etc . Or will it work with the fieros stuff like the transmission and what not . Also how hard will it be to intstall the 3800 into the fiero . any help would be greatly appreciately .

This is gonna be locked soon as no thirdgen tech in it, but my only piece of info is that someone on the net has an LT1 powered fiero, I would search for that as it could help with some of the issues of installing the newer style engines.

This thread will indeed be locked as it is not to do with thirdgens at all.

Though to help you out - Check out this link below for info on how to put a V8 engine in your Fiero:-

Before this gets locked, because it has nothing to do with third gens, IIRC the Fiero never came with a 3.8. AFAIK, the Fiero came with the Iron Duke four and the 2.8, only. The 3.8 is a 90 degree engine. The 2.8 is a 60 degree.

Okey dokey. Assuming that to be true, Lambo, and you do not believe that the 2.8/3.1/3.4 are the same basic engine as the 3.8, I'd say you've got your work cut out for you. Those engines don't have much (if anything) in common.

If you want to spend a lot of money on a swap, why not pick up an all-aluminum 60 degree V6 block from GM? A much easier install. Just remember to take mucho dinero when you go to the dealer to order the block.
