Cool, is that a 2.5L PS pump? All the 2.8L pumps basicly look like our stock ones so I gotta ask. I know a friend of a friend mounted a PS pump where the ac (old) alt (new) location but I really want to keep ac on the bird even if it means converting to a small street rod condensor.

Yes it`s a 2.5 L4 pump..S-10 vintage, I believe that the camaro 4cyl was the same, it had the steering fluid container mounted to the side of the fan shroud..I had the pleasure of rebuilding the iron duke for an 84 camaro

I noticed in another string by Big Block Jackson "502 BB Pics Within....." that he has a conventional pump mounted to a 502. He is asked by someone (I forget who) what brackets he used and he did not know since he farmed out the swap. It appears to be a stock BB setup with plenty of clearance between the pump and the steering box. Greezemonkey, I noticed you on there a couple of times, what did you think?

I don`t know..I did see that though I tried using my L69 pump and it was all over the gear box. The pulley diameter was my issue, you may be able to find a smaller than stock pulley and utilize the stock BB pump. If you wanted to keep it all as one instead of remote mounted res.

I used a Power steering pump out of a 85 Maro. I used a pulley out of a 85 pickup, with 454. It comes close, but she clears. I would recomend doing it greezemonkeys way.
