should I put a 350 tbi

I have a92 rs v8 tbi, i found this vendor based in phoenix that sell lots of engine, they have tbi engines on there that they say is a direct bolt on, meaning I just need to swap the negines, everything is the same,
here is the two link for the 350tbi (300hp/380 fpt)and 383 tbi (350hp/410fp t)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...949266358&rd=1

a local shop says it would charge 800 to install it plus parts like hose, cable, etc...

do you think its a good idea ???

my budget is 4000 and I want to do something simple and done fast, and I know my engine is slow and has no potential

thanks for your answers

Car: 86Z/92 RS Camaro
Engine: 357 vortec finished. need tuning
Transmission: Still works
Axle/Gears: need 3.73

Email the seller and ask him how your stock TBI is going to feed the engine with your stock set up. ( That is no tuning or replacing the TBI and fuel pump) The cam in both engines are small and are not a roller design. The price is also high and you could probably have an engine built in your area for less. May want to to to the TBI forum for more info if you plan to replace the current motor in your car.

Don't buy any TBI engine off of ebay. You can make a motor that will produce more power for half the cost of those. 4k is a solid budget for an engine swap and I don;t know if I would stick with TBI. 4K could get you into LT1 swap territory. If it must be TBI thatn spend it on an LO5 or L98 shortblock, decetn heads and cam, and the tuning stuff to go along with it. This is assuming that you already have a full exhaust and fuel system upgrades. If not some of that 4k will get swallowed up into that. You will need to spend at least $200 to $300 to buy the chip burning equiptment for any TBI build-up.

thank you for that, I think I m actually going for an lt1 or just do something differnet with the money
I would love to find a place in tucson or phoenix where they could just take care of it all, not that i dont enjoy tech stuff, but I dont have time for it and just want my car to be fast, I dream about getting an ls1 and a 6 speed but I think it would cost 7k installed according to haws ( but I heard they are expensive)

thanks for the imput anyway
