speed density or mass air?

which one of these do you think is better to run, also i have found an 86 or 87 camaro with a tpi 350 i want to put this in my 89 2.8 firebird, if i get the wiring out of the camaro will it be that much trouble? thanks

An '86 or '87 TPI will be MAF. If you get everything out of the car, including things like the fuel pump and associated wiring/relays/etc., it isn't too hard. It is a bit involved, that's all. Take pictures of both before and during disassembly, label everything as you disassemble (both cars), and it'll go back together a lot easier. {Don't forget you need the transmission, too.}

Whether MAF or SD is "better" depends upon a lot of things. MAF is more forgiving of changes such as exhaust, displacement, cam, etc., but is more limited for the max power output. If you're willing to learn PROM burning (and you should be), the SD is probably the preferred system. But, that's not what is available to you, so right now don't fret it.
