What 350 engine codes are compatible with an 89 Camaro RS with the 700R4 transmission?

No Chevrolet 350 has ever been made, to my knowledge, that's NOT "compatible" with the 700.

There MIGHT, MAYBE, be one somewhere; but I've never come across it. You probably won't either.

that helps, but is there any specific engine code that is needed for the engine to drop right into the 305's motor mounts?

Axle/Gears: moser 9" 4.11

they are all the same block externally. everything will fit for motor mounts, except newer LS-based motors for example.
