Welcome aboard thirdgen.org.

Any more information you can provide about the 350?

Most likely, you can transfer parts from the 305 such as accessories, carb, distributor, and the like, to the 350, and install it.

Of course, the exhaust is going to be pretty small for the 350, but there's a good chance it will all fit the 350.

If there are oil cooler lines involved, they will be by the oil filter mount. If those look the same, no problem. If there's nothing for an oil filter mount on the 350, just transfer over the stuff from the 305.

No sensors to worry about. Chip will be fine with the 350.

As long as he knew what he was talking about with regard to it being "for" an '82 Camaro (there weren't any 350's available in Camaros in 1982), you shouldn't have any problems.
