I have a 350 block with the casting number 14093638. I want to get a hydraulic roller cam without having to buy the retro style cam and spending an extra $500 on the mod. heres what mortec says about the block
14093638...350...87-95...2 or 4...Roller or flat tappet cam, one-piece rear seal
It is a 4 bolt main with a 1 piece rear main, so can i buy a hydraulic roller cam without having to buy different pushrods and the retro style?
Please help!

Look in the lifter valley. On top of the hump in the middle where the cam is, are there any holes that are threaded? I so , look at the front of the block, is there holes for a cam retainer plate to bolt to? if so, yes it is ready for a roller. If not, you can make it ready for a roller.
actually im pretty sure that your block is a roller block, if the lifter bores are taller and machined flat along with three raised bolt bosses for a lifter spider in the lifter galley then you wont have to "retro-fit" in a roller
???
I do know that it came with the swirl port heads out of a factory 350
