327 starter issues

Hi i recently swapped my 67 327 into my 1986 ta orginally 4 barrell 305 vin h. I mounted the starter off of the 305. Using the 305 flywheel, so i can use the 305 starter. I'm having problems wiring the starter. I have the big leed out of the postive battery on the main starter terminal. Which I know is right, but i have two more little wires, one which is one with a 20 fuse link and two into one with a 16 fuse link. I know the other day i put the single on the terminal closeest to the engine and i got power but no crank. But today with it the same way i had nothing but i did have some blown fuses, so thats probly why I had no power whatsoever. Nothing. Does anyone knopw this wiring it's driving me nuts
