94 3.4 block 3.8 Pontiac

Does anyone know if the block for a 94 3.4 camaro is the same as a 92 3.8 pontiac? I ask because I picked up a 94 for less then 1000 and it just needs a engine and tranny. I have access to a few different options but would like to put the 3.8 supercharged into the camaro, i can make it work if the bolt pattern on the bell housing is the same for both blocks. Does anyone know, im thinking it blocks are the same just bored differently. Please let me know.

Re: 94 3.4 block 3.8 Pontiac

er.....

The transmission bolt pattern is the same for both engines. As a matter of fact, that's the ONLY thing that is the same. A 92 Pontiac 3.8 will be front wheel drive, and all of the 60* V6 engines from Camaros (2.8/3.1/3.4) use the same metric front wheel drive transmission bolt pattern.

Motor mounts will have to be fabricated, along with every other hookup.

What does this have to do with third gens? Are you putting the engine into an 86 IROC??????
