RamJet 350 Options

Dont know exactly what section this thread would really belong in but a friend of mine with an 89 IROC-Z was thinking of putting a RamJet 350 into his car to replace the tired 5.7 TPI. But he is worried about the engines compatibility with other parts such as: Stage 2 700R4 Transmission he got, a nitrous kit if he decided to get one, and he was also looking into the Procharger for the 88-92 TPI cars but would the procharger fit the RamJet 350? Thats all I can remember he wanted me to ask for now, thanks ahead of time for the help

Transmission not a problem.

Nitrous or Procharger - I believe the Ram Jet has hypereutectic pistons - not recommended for power adder applications.

The other problem with the Procharger is the Ram Jet computer - not programmable. Although Arizona Speed & Marine (I believe it is) has worked programming that system for upgrades to the engine.

Re: RamJet 350 Options

procharger should fit as long as the intake sits generally in the same area as stock TPI system does. I dont know about the programming thing, i was curious how they tuned that car but it may be possible to adapt TPI stuff to it and tune using the 89 ECM
