engine swap question

the 305 in my camaro is shot but i have another one i ust rebuilt and i just ordered a new 700r4 to put in my question is when i get old ones out can i put the new ones in together? or even take the old ones out together i mean there both getting replaced and its so much easire to put them together outside the car and thanks in advance.

It can be done either together or apart. The big factor in deciding is if U can tilt the pair almost 45 degrees and still get the lift needed to clear nose of auto. I use a creeper under the auto to rest the trans tail on so it does not have to drag or scoot on shop floor. Hope this helps.
