V6 swap to V8 the article didn't help. HELP.

Okay. I read the v6 article over and over. my question is. My girlfriend has a 1995 camaro that has a 3.4 v6 that threw a rod. I have a 1991 firebird that is a donor car that i been using parts for my 1986 camaro. My firebird has a 305 v8 vortec heads TPI. i am wanting to know that if i can swap from 3rd gen engine and put it in a 4th gen vehicle. The v6 is also TPI. i knwo i will have to change ecm out to have the TPI work in the 1995. Do i have to do a complete harness change over or can i just do the ecm harness that is mentioned. or what is going to be the problem on this. I am mechanically inclined just when it comes to the electrical i hate. even having electronic course. My girlfriend doesn't want carb which she hates mind you she is driving my 86. And i know the transmission bellhousing in the 1995 that is a v6 wont' work but is there a plate adapter to convert it so it can bolt up to a 305??? just wondering not a big deal. will take the 86 700r4 out and put it in the 1995 camaro and i will take the 1991 firebird T5 and do a swap which :P i am going to do anyways just any suggestions comments on this please much appreciated.

Re: V6 swap to V8 the article didn't help. HELP.

As far as mounting, it shouldn't be a problem. The model year 1995 had a LT1 V8 in it's option list. The LT1 mounts like any other V8 before it so use LT1 motor mounts. I would use a Painless Wiring Kit for a mass airflow TPI (not an LT1). Use the computer from the '86 as well as the 700R4. They are already a compatible combination. I think you should be able to keep the V6 driveshaft. This swap is not emissions legal.

Re: V6 swap to V8 the article didn't help.

Of course it didn't help. You're talking about a swap into a 4th gen, and this site is dedicated to those topics related to 3rd gens.

Putting a 3rd gen engine into a 4th gen is the wrong direction to be related to 3rd gens, I'm afraid.
