383 stroker Rotating assembly decisions....

OK, so I've looked at seemingly everything out there, and I've narrowed it down to Lunati, Scat, or Callies, for the crankshaft (I probably can't go wrong with any of these brands). I'm still not sure whether to use h beams or i beams, and I'm probably going with srp pistons because they tend to have less rattle in the cylinders, from what I've learned. Are full rotating assemblies that are balanced a good deal, or should I have the engine builder balance the stuff? I'm trying to save as much money as possible while still getting good stuff and a good build.

My opinion, but balanced assemblies are usually the way to go.Plus,if you buy as an assembly, you already know that critical factors such as clearance are going to be kosher. As far as H-beam vs. I-beam,that's a loaded question. The H-beam will be stronger, but is considerably heavier,as well. This creates a situation where the crankshaft is prone to more stress. This is why I prefer an I-beam,especially if the engine will see frequent high RPM usage.Let's face it,no matter what parts you use,ANYTHING will break if pushed beyond it's limits.

Hey thanks. I'm probably going to go with a balanced rotating assembly with I beam rods and srp pistons.
