alright so i have a 91 camaro originally 305 tbi. ive taken all that out and im about to put a 350 tpi its a speed density setup. i have everything already for the swap except the harness. i found one here locally out of a 90 t/a. my question is whether the speed density harness out of a t/a is different or is it the same as a camaro's speed density harness? all the sensor connections look the same. will it just be a simple plug and play and im good?..and i guess what im really worried about is whether the bulkhead connectors to the firewall differ in any way between firebirds and camaros and between years 90-92? like i said my car is a 91 camaro and the harness is from a 90 t/a. will it work?(i havent bought it yet)please help the only threads i found were dealin with repinning stuff and hopefully i dont have to do any of that.
If it's exact, which it could very well be, then you're good. If it's different on a few plugs, just add the right plugs where the wrong ones are. I'm pretty sure that from 85-92 or 87-92, the harnesses didn't change, or they changed very little. Here is a link where you can find plugs you may need, to build your harness, if they don't match up. http://tpiparts.net/82_92_camaro_wiring?start=0 There's 4 pages of plugs--you'll see if you scroll down a bit.

in general, everything between firebird and camaro are the exact same, if there is a difference it would be a pin or two in the connector and would most likely be irrelevant to the motor.
i have a speed density from a ta 91 and it is for my 90 camaro. everything is the same - i will put in on in a few months but the wiring diagram is perfect.
and you need the computer too - so every wire before the firewall and after the firewall needs to be obtained.
i have to add - make it an original and not an aftermarked harness.

So its best to put on a original harness because i am thinking of getting a harness from painless
The problem with the harness swap isn't at the firewall (c100 connection). Its at the connection from the computer to the harness under the dash (c207). TBI and port injection had two different speedometer setups among other things. I'm in the process of straightening out my car now. It would be a direct swap if it was a V6 car. This link has the diagrams. http://www.austinthirdgen.org/index.php?pid=19
i wanted to revive this and ask is there a difference between a harness from an auto and one from a manual car? no one has answered this yet from what ive searched
