dash harness trouble

i am currentley swaping a 305 tbi into my 89 camaro that was origianaly a 2.8, im running into some trouble with the pinning from the dash harness to the engine harness at the junction block and also at the ECM.....can anyone tell me if the v6 harness should be compatable with tbi outside (engine)harness??????
