Getting power out of a V6 - Third Generation F-Body Message Boards

So i have been working on swapping out a new engine in my camaro. It has the MFI V6 in it at the moment and i was prolly gonna put a 350 in it. I like doing the work myself but i am a little hesitant on installing a v8. Basically i was wondering if i put a new v6 in it are there any ways to get the v6 to have more power and performance? Or is swapping a v8 really not that harD?

The V8 swap is actually easier.

But don't take that to mean it's easy. Lots of "little" things you don't think about that are needed for the swap are hard to find and crush your budget

I wonder has anyone thought about using a 3800 series 2 but trying to turn it the right way? I know a couple people with Grand Prix's that have run 11's with a turbo, even though fwd has it's limits with trannys and tons of wheel spin. Imagine what could be done with those motors in a rwd layout.

I did the 3800 II swap in the old 85 (see my cardomain page). I highly recommend using vss era guage cluster & a 97pcm (can be programmed w/hp tuners).

2 biggest things to be fabbed are motor mounts & y-pipe.
