Whats this sensor??

Its located on the right side of the motor right behind the exhaust manifold. Its got a connector and the sensor is screwed into the motor. Is this the knock sensor or something else?

Re: Whats this sensor??

Yeah. One other thing too, I noticed my fan doesn't seem to be kicking on automatically, I have to turn the a/c or heater on for it to kick on. What could this be? I got home last night and noticed it was a hair over 240 degree's. When I just turn the key to on, the fan should be on shouldn't it? Especially when its that hot..?

Re: Whats this sensor??

Knock sensor and fan switch use the same type of connector

Knock is lower in the actual block while the fan switch is in the cyl head
