383 questions

okay... so a while back i found an old sbc block thinking it was a 400.... got it home and found out it was a 1969 350.... now im making a 383.... i have my main bearings and crank in but i need a bit of help on my rods and pistons...
i keeps seeing different posts with 5.7 rods and certain pistons.... ive decided that im going with a 5.7 rod because i want a monster cam.... i know i want a hyperetectic flat top but from there i don't know.... i know it needs to be 4.030 but i don't know about stroke on the piston... help?
would http://www.summitracing.com/parts/STL-H345NP30/All/ work?

Re: 383 questions

No, those pistons will not work for a 383, those are for a stock stroke of 3.48. You need some exactly like that, but for a 3.75 stroke.
