Best choice for engine swap and sound!

I just purchased a 1992 Camaro with a v6. It was a towaway that was in a wrecker yard. The car is all there and I paid $300.00 for it. I want it to look mean and sound mean but I don't want it to be mean. My wife heard it run and wanted to know why it didn't have the dual exhaust sound she was used to when we had a 1992 Z28 with a 305 and a cat back system. I told her it was a v6. She said she wanted the sound. I was reading the board about a 327 vs a 350 and I remember the old 68 Z28 I had with a 302. I'm older than most of you and retired so this car is going to be a budget car. Your suggestions will be well appreciated.

Buddy

Re: Best choice for engine swap and sound!

If your not looking for a pavement rippler, just a more aggresive sound, you may be able to just go with a decent muffler. There are a lot of companies making products to enhance the performance of v6 cars these days. Save a lot of money over doing an engine swap. But, if you want that extra power to go along with a good sound any v8 will do.
