5.7 350 tbi motor from 93' silverado to 3rd gen camaro?
i have a wrecked 93' silverado ext. cab that has a good running 5.7 350 and auto tranny. i'm looking at buying a 3rd gen camaro down the street that has no motor or trans. has this swap been done? how difficult is it? what all would be involved. if you can't tell already, i'm new to the forum.
the car has a fairly new paint job, weld wheels, cowl induction hood, and is stripped interior for drag racing......he told me i he'll take 1400 for it. i know the tbi won't be fast, but i don't plan on fixing the truck so if the swap is possible, it will do for now. thanks. guys, and sorry for the long post.

Well Yes it can be done...however that transmission in the truck will not do. The Camaro has a Torque arm going from the differential housing, to the right side of the output shaft...as for the motor, it can be done, but realize that you will need to take the Wiring harness and Computer from the truck, to the car...and it really isn't worth it at that time...if anything, Get a different intake for that motor, and plop a 750cfm carb onto it, and leave out all the computer bs.

Me and my bro did this EXACT swap into a 92 camaro RS. Engine was a 350 TBI from a 92 K1500. PM me if you have any questions or need info. We basically used a factory 91 camaro 305 TBI harness, the truck PCM, and the truck engine, and the thing ran beautifully. EVERYTHING bolted right up and there was absolutley no wire splicing. With a T5 tranny it went 15.1 at 95 MPH with pathetic 2.77 rear gears. Def had mid 14's in it. Was a cool street car until he sold it.
