Another new guy.

Hello all. I've been looking around here for the last couple of weeks and have got some much needed info. I bought a 84 sport coupe 305 auto about 3 weeks ago and I'm in the middle of pulling the motor and trans out so I can put my 350/TH350 in it. The motor is a 40 over 350 with Gm 292 angle plug heads a Weiand team G intake with a Holley 650 dp. Mallory comp 9000 ignition and a Comp cams 292 cam. It will use a pro comp electric fuel pump with regulator. I just got my headers(Hedman #68470) and Y pipe(Hedman #17478) last week. It already has a Dynomax muffler on it so it will work for now. The trans is a TH350 with a B&M 3000 Holeshot. I have a drive shaft coming that was in a 82 Firebird auto. I'm also ordering the B&M adapter kit for the trans and from what Ive read on here the stock shifter will work ok. The 3.08 gears will have to go for a set of 3.73's or 4.10's as soon as I get it running. This motor and trans was in my 78 Trans Am with 4.56 gears so I'm a little sick of the high rpm cruising. Thank you all for the help you have already giving me. I will let you know when I get it running. Thanks again.

Mark.
