305tpi to 350zz4 crate

alright ive got big plans for this one. (big for me anyways. lol) ive got a 1988 iroc w/ a 305 tpi in her. this may im planning on buying this 350 zz4 create engine from jegs. part #809-12499712K. this is gunna be my first engine swap so i basicaly have no idea what im doing, lol. im assuming since its turn key i should just be able to pull the 305 an drop the zz4 in an bam! haha no, i kno its not gunna be that easy but thats basicaly what im gunna be doing right? will i have any clearence issues? will my trans fit? (its a stock manuel 5 speed) will i need a new wiring harness? is there anything special i will need because im going from tpi to tbi? anything will help. advice, stories, awnsers, anything. thanks in advance!!!

well the new engine im planning on getting is tbi but the 305 i have in now is tpi. so yea, it would go from tpi to tbi.

http://www.jegs.com/i/GM+Performance...9712K/10002/-1, right? It says nothing about TBI there, and in fact comes with a carburetor-type intake manifold, and may include a carburetor as well. But that's an awfully lot of money to be spending just to get a 350. Since you're already set up for TPI anyway, consider this: http://www.sdparts.com/product/SD360...ripEngine.aspx
not much cheaper, but alot closer to being a direct swap. It uses the same cam as what you listed, and better flowing heads, the reason it's making 20 hp less is the TPI. But peak HP is not important compared to average HP, and this will give you more.

The part # you listed is not TBI.
