| Putting the 350 under the carb system would be less work and money. You wouldn't have to change anything you don't have. You could do it for intake gaskets (and if you're changing the cam, you'll be doing intake gaskets, anyway).
You could sell the TPI set-up for more than you could get out of the carb set-up. The TPI would get a little better mileage, but you wouldn't have to be as careful with the cam with the carb as you would with TPI. No particular difficulty tuning the carb to the 350, but if you put a different cam in with the TPI, you'll likely have to do some PROM tuning.
Either way, the 305 exhaust is inadequate. |
