95 Camaro V6 To Carb V8?

Does anyone know if a carbed 350 will fit in the 95 v6 engine bay without making tons of mods? I have searched the archives but nothin found. Any info would be great.

THANKS!

Yes, it will fit. I have a '97 that I road race and my brother has a '93. My '97 is carbed, and the '93 is next in line. The only major issues you will wncounter will be with the distributor and the carburator.

The distributor has very little room under the windshield area, so it will have to be installed (correctly) before you put the motor in.

The carburator will interfere with the plastic lip that extends from the front of the windshield and houses the wiper stuff and HVAC intake. GM did a great job of setting the motors back in these cars, but not too good on height! If you use a low-profile, dual plane intake, you might get away with it. If you use a tall single-plane, you will need to modify that area for clearance.

Have fun!!!
