LT1 oil pan

I am thinking put an lt1 motor from a caddy into my iroc. I was wondering if I would have to change the oil pan. Were there different pans used in the different cars. When my friend put an 80's vette motor in his car he had to change the oil pan to be able to fit the drive side exhaust pipe.
Thanks
Shaun

Dont know offhand, but the easiest way would be to go to GM and see if the p/n for that caddy's pan and the LT1 F body pan is the same, if it is, i'll fit for sure.

The oil pan on a 95 Z28 LT1 is exactly the same as the pan on an 86-92 V8 f-body. I see no reason that the B-body / D-body pan would be any different. The one in my Dad's 96 Impala seemed the same. Worst case scenario, you end up putting an 86-92 f-body pan on.
