Carburated 305 swap

Hey i was wondering if i can put in a 305 form a 83 camaro into another 3g camaro or firebird that has a v6. I got a donor car so that should make it easier right So any suggestions will help thanks guys

I wouldn't call it "easy". Moving the front engine mounts alone disqualifies the job for that classification. That has to be done whether you have emissions or not.

Having a donor car is the only sane way to do it. When you're done, though, the cost will probably be more than what you'd spend on a factory V8 car minus the price you'd get for selling the V6 car.

If the V6 car has some sentimental value, like being your first car, then it is justifiable. Just not cost effective, from a "worth" standpoint.

I was young & foolish (okay, ignorant) when I started mine. Love it, drive it every day, but would have spent less money had I followed the advice above.

Well I dunno im rebuilding the engine anyway with new carb cam etc and basically the engine is gonna be like new. It should pass i mean my first fbody when i was 16 was a 84 305 carb and it had no cats and it passed no problem. Maybe because i used fuel enhancer?
