Thanks for the vid. Luckily for me I spend the summer months in CT so for a couple of months in the year I get action like that. I try to make it to Englishtown at least once a year.

I'll try to get some video of what it's like over here. The kids cars are rather pathetic.

That's funny, most of my friends are wanting to go over to the U.S.

Insurance and cars in general are quite expensive over here to run and especially insure if you are young. That together with the high gas prices mean most of them are driving around in 1 litre pieces of crap. Some of them spend thousands on wheels, body kits, aftermarket headlights etc and at the end of the day it's a little POS that's worth nothing.

Allow me to demonstrate.

And here is the UK equivalent. Again called the Nova, and again built by GM.

The Nova is the fastest ever production road car so I can see why the two lanky twats here were so keen to show it off. This one sports a totally impractical front bumper than makes even the slightest bump in the road become a chiselling exercise. The single wiper conversion is great because it parks in the middle thus making it harder to see out of the windscreen - excellent !
This one is a 1.3, but the really quick ones that manage the low 16's are doing so thanks to a 2.0 engine swap (don't let that one out the bag, it's secret knowledge).

This is actually a good thread, it will show the U.S. visitors to the board what it's like over here for fast cars.

Hi Entrig00,
Love the Trans-am "snorting" nitrous at the ***** car.You see the car RMK put on,well they're everywhere like a ****ing disease.Believe or not that looks like a fairly well done one, most are even more gay than that!
I live for the drag racing, just wish more of us over here would get into the sport.Once you get someone to a strip to watch top fuel,pro-mod etc etc. they're hooked.

RMK makes a good point, however there is one thing worse than the Vauxhaul Nova in that picture... a standard Nova. At least with that it is an individual POS

Have you ever noticed that the oiks that drive them always have one arm draped across the wheel and always sit forward (like the back of the seat is too hot or something).

I'm pleased idiots like that drive cars like that. Keeps the real cars free for real people!

I'm going to be in Toms River NJ in 9 weeks time, so not that far away. A mate of mine races at E-town quite a bit, Tommy Raia, silver Lincoln LSC with 5 speed manual in it, ever seen it?

Ever go to Atco raceway?
