Door side moldings

Hi guys - wondering if anyone has two exterior door side moldings for sale ? Driver and passenger side doors - you know, the rubbing strips that go along each side of the car.

Would prefer them in black, but any colour will do.

Thanks !

New?
Or used?
USA?
Or over there?

Just wondering,

George

Hi George - new or used, it doesn't matter - would also prefer the '82 / '83 ones, but again it doesn't matter.

Do you have a set for sale ?

thanks

Hi scotia!
I have the ones used on the '87 and up.
But, I do hit the junk yards quite a bit!
I will keep my eyes opened for you!
I do know that the '82 is different than the '87 and up.
If I find something, I'll post!

Have a good one,

George

Thanks for that George

The ones you have already wouldn't happen to be black by any chance ? If so, they would be ideal.

If you aren't able to get the earlier ones, the later ones you have will do great ( whatever the colour ).

thanks again !

Just out of curiousity, were those strips an option on all years/all cars?

Far as I know, they were standard on all third gens. The only reason I don't have any on mine is that the when the car was resprayed, I stupidly left it up to the painter to remove them ( i had planned on reinstalling them after the respray ) and they were damaged ( and apparently disposed of thereafter ! ) in the process .....

I should have removed them myself as they only held on by 3M tape from the factory, again as far as I know ....

Like these in '86?

I believe you can purchase this material on a roll, complete with the Camie (not 3M) self adhesive peel-faced backing. Same as weatherstrip, hood seal, and most other extruded rubber and urethane seals/trims.

Hi Vader - yes those are the side moldings I need, ideally in black.

I remember seeing them on either the Year One website or it may have been Classic Industries website a while ago, but when I checked recently they had stopped selling them - the pictures of the products were there, but no prices were available.

Any links for a website that sells the material on a roll ? Didn't know you could get stuff like that.

I'd really prefer the genuine article though, 82 style would be perfect

thanks again.
