Would you mind sharing the details on part #, and price for the y-pipe?
I'm guessing you got the 1 5/8" to 3" shorties, from Hedman.
Is the y-pipe a 3" unit at the end?
I have a 3" Catco slip-on cat that I'd be applying it to. Would this work?
TIA!

The headers and pipe were each $99 at Winner's circle. I don't know P/Ns off hand, and the boxes got thrown out (still living w. parents causes things like that to happen sometimes). I just walked into the store and told them what I wanted and they had it in stock.

The Y is actually a 2 1/2 inch out, cause thats what the rest of my system is. So mine wouldn't work for ya anyway. The headers are 1 5/8 with no AIR or 02 sensor fittings. 2 Cans of VHT were $10. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

What's a "Winner's Circle"? Is that a website, or a chain store?
I'm thinking I can still use it, as my exhaust shop has welded my stock exhaust (like 2.25 or whatever) to my 3" cut-out.
$99 is fricking cheap. The cheapest I can find the headers is $106 from summit.

Winner's Circle I think is a chain store... but not a really big one. I guess if you're not from my town, referring to a local store dosen't help much does it.

Yeah, I like the price! I don't have a summit catalog handy, but they're $104.99 from Jegs, and the Y is $98.99. Go figure same price for shorties and long tubes

I am not sure of the name of the paint, but I got it at auto zone. It is the high temp. Shame they don't make a high gloss paint. I only have a problem on the pass side of the car, I think it is becasue I didn't clean the header as good. But only the top coat is coming off. I will let you guys know when I run into trouble with the paint.

Just thought I'd let everyone know

I almost forgot about my running update thread! Its been months since this came back up, but I figured I'd let everyone know that the VHT is still holding up great! It looks just the same as all the other pictures, but theres a little dirt/dust/road grime build up now.

Its been almost 7 months now! I'd say I've got my 10 bucks worth!

These months are not good ones for selling a sports car in Illinois. I've had it in our local weekly classified paper, with picture, and online, for 2 months and only got 3 phone calls. Whats that tell ya?

IF I still have it around feb, It'll probably go, because right around then guys start getting their tax returns and buying toys, or so a dealer once told me back when I was looking to buy at the time. They mostly has sports cars in the under $5000 range there, and were selling them very rapidly in the last month of winter.

I hate to sell it but, I can't afford to keep it and my parents don't like me having two cars... plus their two... plus my brothers.... kinda a hassle.

Yes, very much, I was suprised. The way I look at it is, for the difference in price (Price of purchasing the 'Stang - what I get out of selling the Camaro), I would have not been able to bring the Camaro up to the same overall level of power, handling, and overall condition. I was looking at 4thGens and really nice 3rdGens as well, this was the best thing available around here at the time that I could afford. The handling is excellent I might add too, and I really like having the 5 speed. 5 Speed 3rdgens are very hard to come by around here. Was thinking about doing a conversion but thats costly.

BTW guys, about the headers. They're visibly starting to rust now. I'll have pics next time I'm out at the storage spot. So goes the story of the VHT... One fault probably is it seems poruous like anything ceramic. So its NOT a mositure barrier. And since the tubes were stripped to bare metal underneath... well... it makes sense. But hey, the way I see it, the 2 cans of spray cost me $10, and for how they looked between may and now... it was worth it.
