anybody running Hedman Street Tork-Step headers or comments ?
anybody running Hedman Street Tork-Step headers ? are they any good or junk or what ?
anybody know anything about them ?
If some of you exhaust experts wouldn't mind giving me your advise on these, I'd appreciate it.
any heat problems with headers? should I wrap them in tape?
Here's a link to their page http://www.hedman.com/pages/hedmanmain.html
the total with shipping is $208
or if you could suggest some other headers
I am removing the smog pump & cat
and yes $$$ is limited, so no ceramic coated headers for me for now, unfortunaltely
I'm surprised to see that they're shorties. I hadn't heard that before.
I doubt there's anything special about their "torque step" feature, performance-wise. But, the price doesn't sound too bad. Except, you could get the regular Hedmans w/y-pipe (w/o A.I.R., that is) for about the same price.
Hello, If you would like my personal opinion I think that tork step is mostly a gimmick and a waste of money, you can get the regular hedmans and y pipe for $200. versus just the headers for $218.00. Just my .02c worth. Later, Dave
well after more research & your comments, it looks like the Hedman Headers part # 68470 is going to be the winner, they cost $125 with shipping.
I checked & a parts shop said the Y-Pipe was crap, he said it wasnt bent correctly & didnt recommend it, that's ok cause my exhaust man will make the Y-Pipe for me.
thank you for saving me the $85
hmmm now what to spend it on ?
Definitely a cold beer to help with the heat when i get to swapping the motor & tranny.
