is exhaust killen HP

I have a 91 RS Camaro. It now has a modified 355 under the hood. shortie headers 2.5' collectors and 2.5 all the way back. The cat and muffler are gone. The y pipe is 2.5' and leads into the 2.25' tips. My question, is this pipe to small and killing some of my potential HP. do you think it is to small. I would appreciate everyones input. thank you.

I think that you would want to run 3 if not 4 inch pipe. Why arent you running a muffler? Thats got to be damn loud. Actually, thinking about it, that smaller pipe might be good because of the fact that you arent running a muffler. Your system provides very little backpressure. you might notcie an increase in HP if you do run a muffler with a bigger pipe. Id say go with like a 3 inch primary pipe into a borla or something. or you can run a mufflex 4 inch system if your engine is making over 500hp.
