Does anyone know anything about Carsound cats??

like the title says, does anyone know anything about them, or has anyone used them? i saw them for sale in a post on CamaroZ28.com, and they said there supposed to be better than Random Tech, and there only like 90 bucks.

yeah... avoid them. Tom Keliher had two on his car, and the catalytic material inside broke apart and clogged his exhaust. Hopefully he'll see this thread and respond.

Guess what?? The Carsound is a direct replacement for your car. The "brick" in the converter comes off the same line as the original. Carsound is nothing more than an aftermarket canner, and they are canned exactly the same way as the original. Buy the cheapest one you can find. I have to laugh every time I see someone recommending one brand over another. They are ALL aftermarket canners only. The companys' that make the heart of the system are ALL major corporations which in turn supply their products to OEM and aftermarket canners.

I cant speak for Tom's car, but my Car Sound cats broke up and disintegrated too. However, my engine was running VERY rich, and I think that was the cause. The tech at Car Sound agrees. I've put two new Car Sound cats on my car again, and I've had no problems since November. The car is running in good tune now.
