Hedman 68460 Long Tube Install

well, i now have my motor in between my fenders and the passenger header installed....... i figure i'd make a few notes on how everything went followed by pics next week of everything..

first and foremost is they will be a bitch unless you have a lift or the motor is jacked up a little....... also if ya have a oil cooler, kiss it goodbye!!! mine sits right against the driver side header and has to be removed... the filter will be located where the cooler is after removal and will clear perfectly!! i didn't much like the thought of coolant going near my oil anyways... also theres a metal tube that runs to the heater core that will have to be removed and a rubber hose ran to it differantly to avoid header contact.....

also factory dipsticks from 89 up will have to be bent to be mounted through the header bolt.... i say 89 up because i'm pretty sure 89 up's have the same... i may be wrong...

besides that i really can't think of any problems we had with them... they bolted up very easily and have pretty good clearence on places where others won't....

and for 104$ through jegs anyone who dosen't have to worry about emissions and want's hp, heres ya go!!!

Cool thanks for the info.

I hope I can wait to install my heads, that way I can lay the headers down in there before hand.
