Anyone running with ....

... the Edelbrock Headers?

Any quality problems?

Performance or install issues?

I have run them for about 3 years now with no problems, but it is a real b**ch to get the rear bolts in on both sides I had to grind down a wrench to fit.

I've got the TES's for the '87+ 5.7L IROC/Formula on my '84 Berlinetta. I think they aren't too bad but her are the things I don't like about them: The Y pipe comes together as 2 squished D's, the Air tubes on top don't let you run Plug wires between them and the Valve covers without burning them, the tubes hang into the primaries about 1/4-1/2", and the flange welds are inside the primaries.

Edelbrock headers aren't they only ones, btw. Take a serious look at Hedman, Hooker and MAC headers, all are price very competetively against Edelbrocks. Plus they have true 1-5/8" primaries and a better designed Y-pipe. I recommend them over Edelbrock's (if SLPs are out of the budget).

Hey Randy (WS6 Berlinetta), long time, no see. How have the heads and intake worked for you? Email me.

I like the SLPs but it is the price. I'll look at the others tomorrow.

I just spend about a grand on other mods, for now, so I'll probably wait until I've recv'd it all and have installed it all, b4 I look at headers.

Thanx for all your inputs.
