Thoughts on Purple Hornies and other such products

Anyone have any thoughts/comments on them? my muffler isn't in the rear like most of y'alls and I don't have a cat (no need) ... so my muffler is currently where my cat should be and I've got 4 inch pipe all the way back....

so my question is what do you think of them? I'm in the process of putting headers on as well and right now my current muffler is screwed beyond repair so I'm looking at replacement options

Have you ever heard them? THEY ARE LOUD!!!!
Did you hear that? You will have trouble hearing much after you spend time in a
car with doze babies. Again I say, THEY ARE LOUD!!! I don't know if you are talkin' 'bout the header mufflers, or the true mufflers, but seriously, they sound cool but they are really loud. Just last fall I sold a '80 Malibu that was gonna be my project car ('til I wised up and got a Camaro). The guy put a 350 in it w/ 1 5/8" full length headers and put the header muffs on there. It was very loud. As inconsiderate as I am to my neighbors with my exhaust/stereo, I felt embarrassed about how loud it was. He just kept revving up the engine to show it off. Then I would look around to see how many neighbors were looking out their windows. It takes a lot for me to care about what my neighbors think, but that was a lot. Just my 2¢. Some people think louder is cool, and that's fine. Just not all the time.

I live out in the country so I'm not too worried what others think... I live on a farm that is mostly family and the people at the end of my driveway I could care less about...

they can't call the cops because they pay rent to my grandfather, who owns their property, so they'll get their asses kicked out

I plan on having a loud exhaust... build 350 with full length headers and the purple hornies header mufflers are perfect for me... its also a decent clearance with them which I'll be happy with hehe
