Please help, header problems!

OK I have two stupid problems. I got 1 manifold off and i am having trouble with the second one. I know there is a metal piece i have to bend away but i cant get at it and i need to know if anyone knows an easy way. My second problem is i cant get the header in on the drivers side. I bought headman headers for 82-92 camaro and firebird and i have a 91 z28 and i want to know what i should take off to get these headers in. Thanks

I just installed Heddmans on my 88 IROC.... Use a screwdriver to bend the locking tab out of the way, and you'll probably have to remove the D/S motor mount thru-bolt and jack the engine up on that side to get the header in........

I ended up having to jack both sides of my motor up to get each header in. Just takes a few minutes to work the bolt out and put a block of wood on the jack. Be patient and it'll all work out well

jacking the engine is not necessary...if you work with that header for a little bit you will be able to get it in...i think i started mine by getting it as far forward towards the front as i could, then working it from there...it can be done...took me about 5 mins of finagling
