That looks pretty good...I like how the mufflers and tailpipe are black, it doesn't draw too much attention to the mufflers. So how much did that cost to put together?
Cost, not including the headers was about $500. You could do the same with out the Y-collectors for a little less, but since I already had them & some 4" pipe lying around, I used them. Here's the link to the video with sound if you missed it: http://mywebpages.comcast.net/ricktp...out%202003.wmv
Looks great. Mine is very similar but I had to keep it a little tighter around the crossmember because of my sportlines of course my torque arm may not be in the way as much as yours looks to be. It is nice to see that the dual 3s fit over the axle in the stock spot. Did you have to modify anything there? I may have to try that because mine are running under the axle at the moment. I like the 9" rear axle also but the torque arm mount looks a little different than the ones I have been looking at, did you make it or is it someones? (most I see weld to the axle housing in 2 spots yours looks like 3 which would be a little stronger).
Oh yeah.........where did you get a 3' pipe by the way???? All I can find was 3"

Sorry had too,

Thanks for all your feedback. The Y-pipe is as close to the car as possible, 1/4" clearance in most areas. It took me two attempts to get it right. The first one was a modified Mufflex Y-pipe that I ended up trashing because it hung too low. You have to go around the Spohn crossmember, going under would make it too low. The panhard rod support bar has a 2" spacer, that I made, between it & where it mounts to the frame on the drivers side to gain a little more clearance. I also removed the heat shields at the fuel tank & used an aluminumized heat blanket in it's place. The rear is a Moser Engineering 9" Ford. The bracket came with it.
What is louder, Spintech's "Pro street" muffler or their race "Pro Shoot out" muffler? Both these mufflers are the same size (kinda small) so would one of them be able to take care of my 350? I've already got their 343SC, but I'm just curiouse to see if a race muffler would work too. -89IRO
hmmm after seeing that video and hearin the spintech mufflers, i think im goin to change from my hooker cat back to a spintech muffler after i put in my hooker long tubes. (kinda gettin bored of the hooker catback)
edit: where can i look at purchasing the spintech mufflers from?

It would have just as easy to run dual 3" pipes in place of the 4" single. I did it that way because I couldn't fit an X-pipe in there & I had a pair of Y-collectors from another attempt. The 2-3"pipes into a single 4" serves to balance the two banks the same as an X or H pipe does. It also gives the exhaust a fuller sound.
