I HAVE THE 80 SERIES BUT, I BELIEVE THE 40 SERIES IS SLIGHTLY LOUDER. GO FOR THE 80'S FOR MORE OF A ORIGINAL SOUND. A LOT OF THE CARS AROUND ME HAVE THE 40'S & IT WAS NICE TO HEAR MY CAMARO WITH A DIFFERENT TONE. PLUS, IF YOU WANT TO GO LOUDER INSTALL ELECTRIC CUTOUTS.

Hey I got 80's series on my 92 Camaro with the LO3 with a pipe instead of a cat but it would be louder with headers I dont know if you got the cash to spend on those or not but it's hell loud and it should be the first mod to do.

Ditto. I have an '89 RS LO3 w/ a flowmaster 80 3" cat-back. I not only set off alarms in parking lots, but also sometimes do it just driving down the street!

Note: the 80 series will give you a bit of interior resonance, if that is an issue. I just turn the stereo up to compensate...

Thanks man

3" Catback, with Flowmaster 80 series Muffler (3" in, 2.5" Out). I also have a 3" Catco Hi-Flow cat, but I think it might be gutted.

I just wish I didn't put the mic so close to the pipes, gets a little muffled at the end of the clip.
