Ok guys, I just ordered and paid. Hopefully he can start making them, and get them shipped out soon!

as to the smog question, i really don't know how they would handle that, i have flanged my cut-out, and am putting it in place of the cat, so come emmisions time, all i have to do is unbolt it, and bolt the cat in its place.

You are the last one in. Please indicate TGGP in the special instructions area to get the discount applied when we charge your credit card at the time of shipping. The discount will not be reflected when you order it, only when we charge your card. Thanks again.
You can try e-mailing, but i dont' know what kind of luck you will have.

well, i kinda understand Mr Mccords feelings on this one... this is the least profitable GP hes probly ever going to do....
so i could understand his reluctance to add more people.

at this point, thoes who have not yet paid, arnt going to. its not like they even have to pay now. they just have to give him the ability to get his money.

im going to shoot a email to him asking for him to just keep bumping the non-payers off the list for anyone willing to pay right now... until its the full 20 people.

since afterall, its not suppost to be over until 5/31 or 20 people.

I agree, however I don't see why he can't start to make ours and ship them if we have already gave me a method to charge us. It would make it easier instead of waiting and doing them all at once.

speak of the devil, i JUST got a email.

hes already shipping the first ones once we reached the largest discount...

Quote:
The problem with GPs is that people will string them out forever andannoy the rest of the paying group by delaying the closing. What we did was to get the minimum number for the largest discount available and start shipping. We put a drop dead date to see if we can shake thebushes to get people to pay up, knowing that we can delay charging creditcards until the end of the month if need be. I thought that was apretty fair deal and didn't punish the rest of the paying group. Most GPs of 20 people have about 2-3 people non-pay, so the cutoff at 15people is usually met without a problem.

Now, if people have money and are ready to go, you can fill in theavailable 5 slots of the non paying people. As someone signs up,then one person is bumped from the list. Realize though, that thosepeople signing up now are placed at the back of the queue forbuildup. That is the only fair way of rewarding those people who got into the GP early and committed.
the email i have is mccordcg@mccordcg.com if anyone wants in.

well i was wrong....

i asked:

Quote:
Just for the record, we do own our own CNC equipment. The bodies are rough
cut 200 out of a 4'x8' sheet of aluminum. The units are then machined gang
style on our high speed cnc mill. It really is just a matter of optimizing
our run so that we can run a bunch through at a time under one
setup. Building a single MPP2 cost more than running 10 through believe it
or not. So, to keep our costs low, we do the GPs this way.

lol, hes probly not going to ship them until he gets paid... i know i sure wouldnt.

im just guessing, but id assume he doesnt plan on sipping it until the 10th... since you didnt technicly "pay" rather, you gave him the info needed to pay, and he'll get the money on the 10th.

from a email i just got

Quote:
Just to reiterate the rules of the GP as stated on the original page. We
are building and shipping in the order that people ORDERED. The webpage
lists the units in production in one color and the shipped units in
another. People can watch as they go through the process. Even though
some people asked to be billed on a date after they ordered, it is still in
the order of ORDERS received. That is why we harped on people to get them
in and ordered. The only person who jumped out of order is Patrick
Apetz because he is shipping out to Iraq. I think most people will
understand why he gets preferential treatment. It is the least we can do
for someone who serves our country!

Damn, that is very much appreciated. I can't remember the last time someone thanked me for serving, sure a few old people here and there, but 9 times out of 10, I'll get a dirty look or "How many babies and innocent people did you guys kill this week?" from the occasional liberal. Thank you, that just made my week!

Patrick,
I'm a semi-liberal democrat and I don't think you guys are baby killers. I'm proud of all the soldiers over there except for the ones who abused their powers. Any blame for the war or the needless continued loss of soldiers lives should be on Pres. Bush and his administration for keeping you guys there after the job was really done. We got Saddam, less resources to Iraq, and more to getting Bin Laden....he's always been the real threat!

I totally agree with McCord for bumping him to #1!
Hopefully you can get the chance to enjoy it on your car before you deploy.

Hey man, I feel ya, don't wanna hijack this thread into a political debate but I feel we should pull out now more than ever. Especially after this whole stupid stuff with the MP's who pulled that crap. Honestly, I don't think Bush is to blame, he's doing his job and good and bad things come along with that. I didn't mean to criticize the liberals, i meant the hardcore tree-hugging hippies, not the ordinary people out there. Sorry if it didn't come out that way.

Got mine in the mail today. Seems to be pretty decent quality. The weld points looked a little smaller than I had hoped. Also, the light is very very tiny, hehe. I thought it was going to be a bigger light but it's only about 1-2cm big. It works great though. I hooked it up to the battery and it took 4-5 seconds to open and close each time. I can't wait to get my cutout installed so I can bolt it on and find a spot inside the car to mount the switch and light. Where are you guys going to mount yours??

1 of 2 things.

1 the transaction will be declined.

2, it will go through, and you bank will hit you with over draft fees.

if you have a good bank, theres a 3rd option.

he wont see anything bad, it goes thru just fine... and your banks overdraft protection covers the rest... then you just have to give the bank its money.

your exact cost would depend on the cost of shipping.
