Mccord MPP2 GP!!!

Here it is everyone! Its running until 5/31, or 20 people. Even if it goes over 20, add your name to the list in case anyone bogarts out!

Here is more info from Mccord

'I redid the discount levels on the duals to give the largest price
break
I've ever given. I won't be able to hold that price after 5/31 as my
shipping costs to get product in has skyrocketed and we'll be having a
price increase on 5/1. The GP won't be effected, but it will make the
discounts even larger than shown. A point worth pointing out.'

And now, for the link....
http://www.mccordcg.com/mpp/tgogp.htm

Admins, can we make this a sticky?

Thanks

sort of. there discount applies to EVERYONE on the list. don't think that you'll get a better deal by holding out and not putting your name on the list, because you'll miss out. If you're interested, sign up now. The more people that sign up, the lower the price goes.
Example, if only 1-5 people sign up, they get the price at level A.
if 6-10 sign up, all 10 people get the price at level B, so on and so on.

Here is the reply I got from McCord Cons. about shipping and the GP to Canada. Looks like the dealt with out of country purchases before and is a chance to save some money.

___________________________________________________

"There is no problem shipping to Canada. Normally, we use USPS Air, which
tends to run around $8-9US and takes 7-10 days to get there. The tariffs
are less than going through UPS too. You will be responsible for the
tariffs which seem to range from $20-40 depending on the province."

hey i have a question, i got the email from mccord, saying i have been added to the list, and i need to make an account before the GP closes, and when i make the account, it will be added to the GP so when the GP is over, the appropriate discount will be applied to my account.

my question is, how do they know the account i made is towards the GP?

do they check the accounts name and match it to the GP name?

kinda confused

they can legally put it in anywhere after the cat.

so as long as you have a cat converter in the exhaust and the cutout is after it, most shops will do it... (since its legal)

if you dont have a cat, or if you want it before (or inplace of) the cat, then very few shops will do it.

well in the email you get when you sign up, they say something like make an account, and after the GP ends, you order the part on your account and somehow they know you were part of the gp and automaticlly apply the discout.

dont ask me how they know though

Oh what fun.

Got an Email from McCord today--and now theyre paranoid after the last GP.

So--Theyre only applying the discounts now as people pay for them.

Apparently last time, only 4 people actually bought them and theyl had to eat the cost.

Apparently theyre givin folks til 5/10 to get the money to them.

copy of second email i recieved:

The GP is coming to a rapid close! We had originally setup the system to have a login for each user and the discount was automatically applied. Unfortunately, we just had a GP where out of 20 people, only 4 people actually bought the units after they had received the maximum discount. Obviously, this was a disaster for us and quite disappointing. So, we are changing the GP rules a bit.

We have reached the top discount limit on your GP. Thus, if everyone does actually order (or at least 15 people), everyone will get the maximum discount. The discount will be applied when your order is totalled and ready to ship and not at order time. You will notify us that you are in on the GP by (WOUDLNT YOU LIKE TO KNOW!). That will alert us to apply the discount when your credit card is shipped.

We will take orders until 5/10 which should give everyone ample time to get their funds available and their order in. We will keep track on line on the same website ( http://www.mccordcg.com/mpp/tgogp.htm ) that you are watching as to who has paid and who hasn't. That way, you can see who is not paying and thus putting the discount to the current level. If 15+ people pay before the date, then we will release the orders and start building in the order that people put their orders on line.

We apologize for having to take this hard nosed approach, but after the last GP fiasco, we are a bit gun shy on every GP after that one.

Thanks again for your participation, and keep watching the Thirdgen.org GP page http://www.mccordcg.com/mpp/tgogp.htm for the participation level!

i got the same email.

im mildly upset about the date.

heres what i sent:

Quote:
whoa! 5/10 !?!
the GP is suppost to run until 5/31... the whole reason i went in on this GP is that i can pay it on the check i get on 5/20.. 5/10 is just 11days from now. that is NOT going to be ample time for most people since most people have pay peroids every 2 weeks(14 days)..

can you work with me on this? my suggestion would be to allow up until the full end of the GP to get money in.. aka, let people in until the 31st. sending a revised email with that seems like the fair thing to do considering that several people in this thread only jumped in because they had a month to get the money together.

just checked my email:

I need you to order it by 5/10. You can put a hold on the order tonot bill and ship until 5/31 if you'd like by including that in thespecial instruction area. That is fine. I just need to makesure that we have full participation. A lot of people wanted themASAP, and didn't want to string them out for another 30 days and loose amonth from the cruising season. This way, everyone can get inand get the good price discount and get their products as early aspossible.

so it looks like you don't have to actually PAY now, you just to give him your credit card info.

yeap.

i have mine ordered.

it says 218 total, but i know he needs to take out the $20 from the GP... so its going to be at my door for 2 dollars under 200...

unless someone pulls out.. then i'll have to kick them in the nuts.
