catylatic converter backwards?

will this work, i took off my cat for the weekend and today when i went to put it back on so i can hear my flowmasters again cause i was getting tired of all that noise, i was missing a piece of pipe coming off the y pipes to attach my cat. ok now the cat wouldnt fit so i turned it around so it was backwards and i was able to fit it on and clamp it down so it wouldnt fall off like the pipe did. it sounds a little better but will the cat restrick exhaust flow being that it is on backwards? my exhaust also ends at the end of my cat.

i dont think that catalytic converters have any way to keep air from flowing either direction... you may not have as good of emissions though, I think that they have like 3 stages in a catalytic converter, and they might have them set in a specific order for a reason....

but i doubt that it will keep you from running your car, or even lose horsepower from it
