SLP Coating- rusting?

My 1 3/4 SLP coated headers look like they are rusting. What do you guys recommend to clean and shine them back up?

They have little rust specs here and there. Only on the tubes, the flanges look great yet. The tubes also seem to have lost their luster.

Any input appreciated.

Those spots should wipe off. My headers do that when they have sat for awhile.

I have the same problem with my ceramic coated Hedman headers, and when I talked to reps. from Hedman they told me to use super fine steel wool to polish the rust off and it does just that and brings back the luster. The steel wool will not hurt the coating and you want to be sure to use the super fine. Works great..

Yep, I had a set of Ford headers, Hedman, that a guy gave me. Nice coating, but his tranny puked (go figure, Ford!). Got fluid stains all over the collector, and he didn't want them. Gave them to me, brand new. I torched em a bit and looked like the stuff would burn off, but I'll hit it with some ultrafine wool and get em cleaned up. Woo-hoo! Hello Ebay.
