Long tube headers and cats, possible????

I live in So. Cal and need to go the legal route. These long tube headers look sweet and sound sweet but how can I use them with a dual cat system?

I have seen a custom set up but CARB says no monkeying with exhausts and cats here.

Is there a way to run lth and still pass the tests???

thanks

Jim

legally you can't pass with longtubes in california only the shorties with carb numbers on the header itself, and they do look under your car too. However when i get my car smogged i am taking it to a person that will pass it for me.

I don't know about california, but I'm just plan on slapping some cats 2-3 inches behind the headers themselves..... clamp on of course "In case they need to be removed for testing"

ttt

Anyone else have anything to add to this? I think long tube sound great, but how much hp and torque are we talking about to fly under the CARB radar screen?
