copper header gaskets

does anyone know which way a set of copper gaskets should be installed?one side has raised edges, and the other side is indented,if your looking at the raised side is that how they are slid in?with the raised side of the gasket facing out,i never used these before and dont know which side faces out when sliding them down in between the header flange and exhaust ports, does any one know which side faces out the raised or the indented side? this sucks not knowing for sure, iam guessing the side with the markings on them should face out right?they are stamped with part# on raised side, but not sure

Usually the gaskets themselves will say on them "this side out", but on my SCE gaskets the raised section is out touching the header flange.
