Will my Hooker mate with my Catco?

I'm hoping that filthy title will get some people to look, because I need help.

My problem is that I want to keep my exhaust system 3" all the way to the muffler starting with hooker 2055 headers.

But the CATCO 9118 has the ball type exit flange, and the Hooker 16823 I pipe has a slip mount. So they don't work together. Am I wrong?

So if I use the Hooker 16823, the only CATCO I can find with a slip fit is 9184, which is 26 inches long (not 21 like stock). But maybe the extra length is for the mount type.

Am I missing something?

Well, it got my attention.

I would guess that it would be as simple as some cutting and welding..?

edit: Er, I mean.. Your hooker will mate with anything, so long as you are willing to shell out enough money for it.

I want to put this stuff together myself. I don't want to pay a muffler shop to put it together for me. I just want to know what parts fit together.

The I-pipe should have a 2-bolt ball flange connection.

Got a picture of it?

No, I don't have a picture. I was going off the information given here:

http://thirdgen.org/techbb2/showthre...ighlight=16823

So it should have a ball flange then? That would fit the 9118 just fine, correct?

Should be a direct fit to the 9118.

No mention of "slip fit".

The rest of the system is slip fit, but the connection to the cat is a 2-bolt flange.
