I've followed this thread and did some research on the web but I haven't been able to get a definitive answer to my question. I'm sure someone knows.
My 86 Camaro, which currently has shorty headers and a single 3" cat and exhaust, will soon be changed to a full length header setup. What I can't seem to find is a manufactured true dual ( twin cats and pipes ) exhaust to either a single or dual mufflers. Or a Y pipe that will mate to the existing 3" pipe with the convertor.
It sounds like most systems are scratch built. In that case I'd like to see some pictures in order to get an idea of what I'll need to build.
I got my ideas from the above "Third Gen Dual Exhaust Picture Collection". I don't think anyone makes a kit or anything like a true dual right out of the box. I'm going to create one w/ my N10 setup w/ h-pipe going over the rear axle on both sides of the differential. I used a LOT of reference pictures from that sticky to aid in my design. I'm not an exhaust pro by any means, but paying $1000 for someone to do it for me seems rediculous. I'm going to put it together and then remove it form under the car, toss it into my pickup, and have a fellow do the welding seperately.
Good Luck......
Eric

Thanks for that. Where did you find the picture collection you mentioned? I've seen a few photos, some good and some not so good. I do agree with you on paying someone 1000 bucks to do the job. With the rare exception, the results probably wouldn't be as good if you had the resources to do it yourself. I actually bend pipe for a living however trying to get loan of a mandrel bender is next to impossible. With a good photograph, at least the idea is right in front of you. It's important that I keep the catalytic. The last thing I need is a $1000 fine because I got caught by the smog police! Cruising can be difficult enough.
