no more emissions for 95 and older in '07
Hey guys I just found this out, beginning jan 1st 2007 vehicles from 95 and older will no longer be required to pass emissions, but should still have all functioning emissions equipment, "should", lol its a broad term. I have all the stuff on my iroc, but it hasn't been spinning or functioning in over two years, lol.
The reason there doing this, is because less than 33% of the cars that are on the road are older than 95 now, because no-one wants these cars we have, and also that 3-4% of the older cars don't pass emissions, so no more emissions, isn't it grand!
This is great news guys, this means no more smog equipment, no more cats, etc, or egr. This is bad news for people that have already spent a fortune on cats and h pipes with cats, but for me, this is sweet music to my ears and all of my buddies, I just thought I'd spread the news, next year is going to be amazing.
I'm glad I went with a bigger cam for my formula, iroc will be out soon too. Talk to you guys later, tell your friends about this good emissions news

Yeah, thats great. Here in NH, any car '96 or newer must be hooked up to the smog machine, but any car '95 or older, has to have the emissions equipment hooked up if it is on the car. My '83 Z28 was checked when it was inspected in March. The mechanic said that as long as everything was there and working, it was okay.
