I just installed a set of used edelbrock headers, and a y pipe yesterday. The y pipe touches the oil pan, I don't know why this happened. I think I may have overtightened the passenger side of the y pipe. I don't know exactly how much to tighten the bolts, but I tightened them till almost both halves touched, but on the driver side I couldn't tighten them that much, because of alignment issues. I haven't tried a big prybar, to bend it down, I don't have a big enough one. I could unbolt it, and than try something, but where the y pipe seperates, would be nearly impossible for me to take it apart, as it was installled before. I don't think it's a good idea to leave it, as i'm pretty sure it will get the oil too hot. If I had a torch i'd be able to seperate the y pipe, maybe.

I'm going to buy more gaskets and try that. It's a kevko pan, but it's supposed to have the same dimensions. If that doesn't work I guess i'll just try bending it. It's going to be a pain, because it was already clamped. thanks
