I am looking for anyone with long tubes that has lowered their car...either with eiback 1" front and 1.25 rear or coil-overs (which is what i will be buying).
Pictures of any cars lowered without the longtubes would be appreciated too, so i can get a look as to how my car will be with lowering involved.
Thanks much everyone.

i have an 86 trans am, i have eibach sportline springs, which are lower then the prokit and run hedman 68460 long tubes with true duals. here is a pic of the headers underneath. i included a video as well, shows how low the duals hang, and how it sounds, i run hedman extensions, summit h-pipe, and moroso spiral mufflers with turn downs.

Yous tuck VERY well compared to alot of others on here. Do you have any pics away from the car but still looking at the longtubes. maybe like 5-10ft away.
Also how is scraping and bumps? How big of a bump (not that it would be accurate) do you have to hit to hit your longtubes or have you never hit them?
Re: Lowered 3rd Gen with LONGTUBES (Pictures needed)
I dont think ive ever seen hooker long tubes tuck tight, they always hang down.
I have hedman longtubes and the pro kit.
here is a pic of mine, not the best pic. look at the electrical linse hanging underneath, the 2 half round protrusuions are the headers, in the middle is my t56 crossmember I made to run 3" duals, and lastly that is your standard sams cola can sitting on the ground.
In the pic I dont have my fenders, hood or nose on.
Ill get ya some better pics later.
here is another i found, Look at the tire and you will find the header.
Re: Lowered 3rd Gen with LONGTUBES (Pictures needed)
The second pic is of what? Is that your crossmember.
I have an LO3 and wouldnt mind longtubes, how is the power effect with those and do you still have the 700R or is your T56 in?
If I get longtubes will I need a custom y-pipe?
I want to get GMMG's exhaust if I get longtubes. That or dynomax or borla....

What Hedman part # are those long tubes?

And yes. More pictures of the exhaust maybe....with the pop can..or a tape measurer. Thanks and will appreciate more pictures.
P.S. Nice car.

as long as you slow down for the tracks, etc you are fine. the long tubes im not worried about, its the exhaust, the s-bends make the true duals hang about 1/2-1" closer to the ground its raining right now but ill get some pics later if it stops.

This is the setup I will be running.
The Hedman Longtubes 68460 with custom 2.5" Y-Pipe to a Dynatech 2.5" In/Out Cat DTC-79-400250 and to finish the system Flowmaster American Thunder 3" FLO-17234. I like how this Flomaster kit tapers down to 2.5" at the cat so its perfect for my cat since its slip fit or will I need something else for the cat to better match the exhaust.
P.S. Still need to pass Cat Check on Emissions Check ups.

Borla has been my fav but with a price like they always have I just cant do it anymore. Shyt I wish CORSA would make a 3rd Gen exhaust system....then I'd be buying that no matter what the price. CORSA is the shizznitt!

Shorties or longtubes?

Re: Lowered 3rd Gen with LONGTUBES (Pictures needed)
I don't understand the point of wanting long tubes only to snake them down with a y-pipe to a single exhaust system. If you want long tube headers and true dulas, you're going to need two cats and that will run you around $150.00 each for a high flow cat. The cat needs to be a three way with an A.I.R. tube. You would of course need the air tube that runs to your factory cat split off to run to the second cat as well. The cost of the cats goes up as you get smaller and thinner and that's what you will need to have any ground clearance. Duals are one of the more expensive mods if you plan on them tucking tight and passing emissions testing.

Hooker long tubes to a hand-fabricated Y-pipe, that is then plumbed into a Hooker Aerochamber crossflow cat-back from Thunder Racing. I like it very much, and it's able to handle the power. It's rumbly and understated at idle, but hollers like a NASCAR at wide-open throttle.
